(The Primacy Of The Spirit Of God In Us.)part 3. Isaiah 61:1,3. The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointted me.... *To appoint unto them that mourn in zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified. The Spirit of God has come to glorify Jesus in our lives.( John 16.13-14.) He takes us to the place of mourning as He did to Jesus. Luke 4:1. He helps our infirmities, interceeding for us according to Gods will. (Romans 8:26-27.) We must also know that not every prayers and fasting is acceptable by God. Every true and effectual intercesary prayers must be done in the spirit and in accordance with Gods word. NB. It is dangerous to subject oneself to fasting without prompt agreement with Gods word, it could be harmful, cos the whole exercise turns out abominable before God. (Prov.28:9). In this case the possibility of catching up with strange spirit become enormous: But as you appropriate the exercis of mourning and intercessary, you are entitle to this comfort, beauty for ashes (Isa. 61:3.) David had the same experience. (Psalms 30:11-12) There are two dimensions of the glory of mourning i like to share briefly, (1) Endument with oil of Joy, the anointing for ecceptional conquest. Jesus had the same experience. (Hebrews 1:9.) This gives you access to the whole redemption privileges. (Isaiah 12:3) (2) You will be clothed with the garment of praise: which means, your life will become a praise unto God, and when that is archieved. Be assured that God has commanded the earth to yield her increase unto you. (Psalm.67:5-7.) friends, this is where the glory of our faith lies, therefore i declare unto you today an abundant grace to serve God in this dimension in Jesus name. You are blessed.
