The Prophet peace be upon him said: “He who does not thank people does not thank Allah”. It is important to get into the habit of thanking people for their help and support regardless of how big or small it may be. Many times when we have close family and friends we take them for granted and we grow to expect what they do for us as something normal and this causes us to forget to express our appreciation. At times when a stranger helps us we are quick to thank them, while our close family members and friends who are there for us during times of need are more deserving of our gratitude and appreciation than others. There are those less fortunate than us who can only dream of having the support of family and friends that we have. Acknowledging the people that provide you with this blessing will serve to strengthen the bond and increase the blessing from Allah.
