The Quran is the Muslim scripture, which means that it is the Holy Scripture of Islam. Islam is the established religion among Arabs - a hitherto confined to the Arabian Peninsula people - by the Prophet Muhammad in the seven Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad by God through the Angel Gabriel.; This happened in Mecca, his birthplace and partly in Medina, where he was able to create a state within a tribal society stateless. The message was revealed in Arabic, the language of the people for whom it was first addressed, although the message was essentially for the entire humanity. The Quran specifically mentions that Muhammad is the Messenger of all humanity, and he is the last messenger to send. Therefore, the Quran is the last message that replaces and reiterates the basic religion God ordained the Jews and Christians as Muslims. Today, the total number of Muslims in the world is more than 1 billion, which represents nearly a fifth of the world population. To all Muslim communities, whatever their language, wherever they live, the Koran is their writing. Most the first thing that must be understood the whole Quran is its shape. The Arabic word Quran literally means recitation and reading. Similarly, the Quran was recited orally and recorded in book form. The real power of the Koran stays in your oral recitation, as it is meant to be read aloud and melodious, but the verses were recorded in writing in the materials available to help with memory and preservation and were collected and classified as a book by private initiative and, at a later stage, also at the institutional level. The Quran was not intended to tell a chronological story, and therefore, the Quran should not be regarded as a sequential narrative as the book of Genesis. The Arabic book that goes by the name of the Koran is almost as long as the New Testament. In most editions have about 600 pages. Unlike the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, the Koran came out of one persons mouth, reciting what he heard the Angel Gabriel. In contrast, the Jewish and Christian Scriptures are collections of many books that have been recorded by many people, and opinions differ as to their status as revelation. That the Quran is organized? The Quran is composed of 114 parts or chapters of unequal length. Each chapter is called a Surah in Arabic and each sentence or phrase from the Koran is called an ayah, literally a sign. Like the Bible, the Koran is divided into discrete units called revelations. These verses are not standardized in metric or extension, and where each begins and ends is not decided by human beings, but dictated by God. Each is a separate act of the meaning of closed phrase, or signal is designated by the word ayah in Arabic. The shorter suras has ten words, and the longest sura comes next in the text, has 6100 words. The first Surah Al-Fatiha (openness), is relatively brief (25 words). The second sura from the suras gradually decrease in length, although it is not a fixed rule. The last sixty suras use almost as much space as the second. Longer verses are much longer than the shorter suras. All the chapters except one begins with irrahman hir-Rahman nir-Rahim in the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Each sura has a name that usually refers to a key theme in it. For example, the longest surah, Surah al-Baqara or cow was so named because of the story of Moses ordering the Jews to offer the sacrifice of a cow, which begins with God saying and remember when Moses said to his people: God commands you to sacrifice a cow. (Quran 2:67) Once the chapters vary in length, the Quran has been divided by scholars of the first century after the prophets death in thirty relatively equal parts and each part is called a juz in Arabic. This division of the Koran was made for people to memorize or read the Quran in a more organized and has no influence on the original structure, as they are mere marks on the sides of pages identifying the party. The Islamic month of fasting, Ramadan, is usually recited a juz every night and the entire Quran is made within 30 days of the month. Translations of Quran a beginner should know a few things about translations of the Quran. First, there is a distinction between the Quran and its translation. In the Christian view, the Bible is the Bible, no matter what language is. But a translation of the Koran is not the word of God, because the Quran is the exact Arabic words spoken by God, revealed to Prophet Muhammad through Gabriel. The word of God is only the Koran in Arabic, as God said, in fact, reveal how an Arabic Quran. (Quran 12: 2) A translation is simply an explanation of the meaning of the Quran. This is why a modern English translation was entitled The meaning of the glorious Quran (meaning glorious Quran): it only strives to give meaning, but fails, as any translation, reproduction of the shape of the holy book . The translated text loses the inimitable quality of the original, so stay tuned to what extent a translation reflects the original message at every level of sense and probably will not. For this reason, anything that is considered recitation of the Quran must be in Arabic, as the recitation of the Quran in the five daily Muslim prayers. Second, there is no perfect translation of the Quran, being human works, each of which almost always contains errors. Some translations are better in their linguistic quality, while others are known for their precision to portray meaning. Many translations inaccurate and sometimes misleading, which are generally not recognized as reliable interpretations of the Koran by most Muslims, are sold on the market. Third, although a review of all English translations beyond the scope of this article, some translations are recommended over the other. Most read English translation Abdullah Yusuf Ali, Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall followed, the first translation by a French Muslim. Yusuf Ali translation is generally acceptable, but your comment page, useful foot can be sometimes strange and unacceptable. Another well-publicized translation by m. Hilali and Muhsin Khan called Interpretation of the meaning of the Holy Quran (interpretation of the meaning of the Holy Quran). Although it is the most accurate, transliterated many Arabic words and parentheses endless makes it hard to follow and confusing for a beginner. A newer version with a flow of the text was published by Saheeh International and is probably the best translation, since it combines precision in translating readability. Exegesis (Tafsir in Arabic) although the meaning of the Quran is clear and easy to understand, you have in statements about religion without the need for a genuine comment. The Prophet Muhammad and to the Quran, also explained to his companions, and those words were collected and preserved to this day. God says, and we have revealed to you (O Muhammad) the message to become clear to men that was sent to them ... (Quran 4:44 p.m.) To understand some of the deeper meanings of the Quran, one should use the comments that refer to these statements of the Prophet and his companions and do not understand the text, given their understanding of the Koran is limited to their prior knowledge. There is a specific methodology for the exegesis of the Quran in order to extract the appropriate direction. Quranic Sciences, as they are called, are a pointed branch of Islamic studies requiring mastery of several disciplines, such as exegesis, recitation, writing style, inimitability, circumstances behind the revelation repeal Koranic grammar terms rare religious norms and Arabic language and literature. According to researchers from Quranic exegesis, the appropriate method to explain the verses of the Quran: (i) Tafsir of the Quran by the Quran. (ii) Tafseer of the Quran by the Sunnah of the Prophet. (iii) Tafseer of the Quran by the companions. (iv) Tafseer of the Quran in Arabic. (v) Tafseer of the Quran by notice if it does not contradict the four sources above.
