"The Raiders have named an extended bench this weekend for their match against the Cowboys at Canberra Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Raiders have named Shaun Berrigan, Jake Foster and Dimitri Pelo on the extended bench, with Jack Wighton (groin) and Dane Tilse (knee) carrying injuries from Friday night’s loss to the Rabbitohs. The team is confident both Wighton and Tilse will line up Sunday, however the team will train with the extended squad this week as cover. Sandor Earl will miss around six weeks after it was revealed he won’t need surgery on the elbow he dislocated on Friday night. The loss of Earl sees Jack Wighton move to the wing and Joel Thompson from the back row to centre. Joel Edwards will start this weekend with Thompson’s switch, with Jarrad Kennedy coming onto the bench. The Raiders have also resisted the urge to put new recruit Bill Tupou straight into the team this weekend, opting to give him a week to settle in to the club before he gets a chance at NRL level.
