The Reflections contest entries are due this Wednesday October - TopicsExpress

The Reflections contest entries are due this Wednesday October 23rd at 9 a.m. in the Kiva. Kids have just a few days left to work on their artwork and entries. The theme is, Believe, Dream, Inspire. The artist statement is judged almost as heavily as the actual artwork. Reflection packets were sent home about 3 weeks ago w/ a green flyer on top. These included one entry form, but you can print additional forms here: utahpta.org/rules-entry-forms Each student can enter each category once. There are 7 categories. The student with the most entries will receive an extra cool prize! All students will be recognized and receive small prizes including a party after the assembly, plus 5 will receive medals per category. Each entry needs the entry form and artist statement. A consent form is also needed if more than the artist is participating in the piece, (dance, music). Please place all paperwork in a plastic page protector and tape it to the back of the artwork. Leave the top open for easy access to the forms. Thank you for all of your support. Its been a busy couple of weeks at Oakdale. Here is a quick video you can refer to for ideas and information: youtube/watch?v=S25IQcDu5Oo&feature=youtu.be Any questions regarding reflections call Amy Rasmussen 801-647-0064 or email amybryras@hotmail On a side note, the students artwork has been amazing this year especially with our new art teacher Mrs. Stocking who is really working with the kids to create fun pieces. Our kids creative artwork will be displayed at Granite Elementary (9760 S. 3100 E.) from 6-7 p.m on Monday night, October 22nd. This is being put on to showcase some of the work being done with the Beverly Sorenson Art Grant that is in place at Oakdale. All are invited to come support this grant that Oakdale is so lucky to be one of two schools in the district receiving. This night is being put together for some of our elected officials whose vote makes or breaks this program. Our traditional arts night will still be held in May.
