The Repair I had to take my car into the shop today. Me and the mechanic were not on the same page at all!!! He was using his serious voice trying to instill on me the devastation of his findings. I was grateful and appreciative that he found issues that needed to be addressed, had the skill to fix them and I trusted him so I had no doubt of his findings. Everything he told me, I said, Good! Wonderful! He tried to argue with me that they needed to be done. I supported his argument. I even had to encourage him a little bit to ease him of his defensiveness. In my lack of car knowledge, I grasped at straws to support his findings. I know the years of dealing with the same resistance had him on autopilot. I understood. He would not relent until I saw the number that he needed to show me. He was prepared with his argument. I was prepared to support him. I am so grateful that there are talented conscientious people who are committed to doing what I can not. I am grateful that my car Sparky will have so many new parts that will resonate with a higher vibration. I am grateful that a number on a page is not going to rob me of my happiness and I am free of the slavery to a discouragement that so many fall prey to. I am happy to have a professional connection to such a kind man who is good at what he does. I am happy to impress upon him a different scenario than he is used to. I am also happy the guys at the shop enjoyed the fresh baked cookies that I brought It is a very good day!
