The Republicans have made full use of the 22nd Amendment to make President Obama a lame duck from the first day he became President. I remember Mitch McConnell stating their goal was to make him a one term President and they kept this strategy up for both of his terms. This is a lesson that should not be ignored. The 22nd Amendment will aways be a problem because on the Executive Branch has a term limit. Its high time to repeal this Amendment or we should demand that Congress and the Supreme Court should have term limits of some kind; otherwise, we dont have the checks and balances in a fair and open way. Imagine a new President who gets elected and finds out one of the political parties does everything possible to stifle anything the new President wants to accomplish. This is the position President Obama has experienced and so he has taken things into his own hands and Im glad hes doing something.
