The Results of the Cross River State Caucuses leaves five men standing: Sen. Prof. AYADE, Ben Barr. IDAGOR, Legor Rt. Hon. Larry Odey Barr ANIAH, Michael Ntufam Fidelis Ugbo There is much to be admired of those who present themselves before the people for a higher calling to serve. My congratulations to the listed above. We move forward into the next stage of the process. It now time we give concentration to those standing and seek out endorsement from those looking for a better exit out of the process. An endorsement of Ugbo should be an easy decision. His experience in the private and public sectors, brings the best of both worlds to the job of Governor. Cross River cannot survive another four years of bitter division in our politics. We have witnessed politicians trying to divide Cross Riverians by class and by sectionalist driven motivation but Ugbo beliefs the Paradise State is bigger than that and must examlify its name. We need a matured experienced hand, someone steady in his belief for unity as one people -Ugbo is the man we need to lead the state in unity and we need him now. We know over the years in Public appointed office, Ugbo built a reputation as a fiscal hawk not shy about taking on necessary cuts to manage budgetary allocations, and our State finance commissioner, he kept our fiscal house in order. With the news coming out on Ugbo leading amongst several other aspirants, his fast turnaround to lead the new pack of five aspirants can be greatly enhance by the endorsement of those whom have falling short in the just concluded first stage. They have put in a good effort, we appreciate them for helping shape the conversations during the Consultations Caucuses and we encourage them to join hands with the five advised before the governor. We acknowledged of all who participated their willingness to go before the delegates, and at this point hope to give them an encouragement to rethink the decision that lie ahead -in the days and weeks to come. Even so, it is important for the good of the State to give consideration to a changing of minds in support of Ugbo. Though we are determined to push ahead, let us be reminded there is still too much unfinished business to take care of, and any support is highly welcomed. The endorsement of Ugbo should leave no doubt that as a potential governor -- his in as a high-profile true choice of the people. We are unfazed to be in the company of four other mentioned opponents, Ntufam Fidelis Ugbo has the utmost respect for them, and looks forward to a continued discussion on the substantive issues that face our people. He will continue traveling the State talking about job creation and getting Cross Riverians working again. Ugbo is the only candidate with a proven record of restraining spending to encourage strong economic growth and opportunity for our State, and with him, our state financial house is secured.
