The Reward - The 11th Hour Principle. Matthew 20:1-16 Jesus in this scripture gave a parable on how an owner of a vineyard chose to employ and remunerate labor. This parable was used by Jesus to teach the Jews in his time, how God will reward the righteous on the last day. (The God angle) 1. God is in search of laborers for his vineyard. Mathew 20:1 2. God comes to US whenever he deems fit or prepared and uses US for his purpose. Mathew 20:5-6 3. God has chosen to reward US equally on the last day whether we have been faithful for years or for just two minutes. Mathew 20: 2, 12. 4. God does not respect age, achievement or the number of years a man thinks he has served. Their are no reservations or award for long service, for anyone. Mathew 20: 11-16. (the laborers angle) 1. The most important thing for a laborer or a worker in Gods vineyard is to make ones self available for work. Mathew 20:3b, 6b. 2. The motive behind the availability of every laborer must be towards excellence and faithful workmanship and not just labor to pass or kill time. The employed labour doesnt guarantee success. What guarantees success is the intention, uncompromising steady effort to excel and pure focus behind the labor. Most of US labor in vain because we have the wrong motives. The Gospel truth. Jesus is no respecter of persons or seasons. Just like he respects no seasons, we should not set for ourselves breaking points or melting points in our spiritual and physical warfare in this world. Our idleness should be replaced by strategic planning focus and right positioning even where we are unemployed because the owner of the vineyard might call anytime. The 11th hour theory ( Matthew 20 : 5 - 6) 6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? 7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. No matter how long youve been broke or unemployed, seeing your mates or even your juniors blow pass you, or youre due for marriage and feel youre getting late, listen to this; For a lady looking for the fruit of the womb and youre already above 44, God can disobey the law of menopause for your sake. For a lady long overdue for marriage and youre about to settle for less, who says you cant have the best husband? Think Jesus For the young man hustling, dont stop doing what you know best, your millions might come a day before new year dont go to sleep now, you might miss out! Dont think God doesnt know you need that money for that business. He doesnt say yes and does no!. When they all sleep on you and you feel no one sees or hears you, listen up! when they wake up, theyll be shocked how far and how much God has blessed you. Our God defies the laws of nature to fulfill his purpose! He created nature itself. Psalms 24:1. He chooses who, how, where, when, what he wants to do. Dont give up!
