The Rhino painting project aims to break the current Guinness - TopicsExpress

The Rhino painting project aims to break the current Guinness world record for the largest painting ever to show the world how passionate we are about our rhinos future survival. Followers will be invited to paint a 10m2 canvas as a memorial to commemorate a single rhino that has been lost due to poaching. It will enable the public to express the outrage they feel as our iconic animals are cruelly slaughtered on a daily basis. The base colour will be controlled so that once the panels are sewn together an enormous image of a rhino will be depicted. The Painting will be displayed in South Africa before being taken to China and Vietnam. Children in those countries will also be invited to contribute so that the final Guinness World record accreditation will be done in Vietnam and therefore attract a huge amount of media attention. Hopefully through all our efforts this will influence the end users behavior and prevent our Rhino from becoming extinct. Brandon: The Creator "While I fully understand the complexities behind the rhino poaching problem, I firmly believe that if concerted efforts are not made to change the mindset of the end consumer and thereby reduce demand in the East , all our other efforts in Africa will be futile. Having spent over two years living in China and elsewhere in South East Asia I have an understanding of the different cultures and know that most of the problem stems from ignorance of the war that is being fought against poachers in South Africa with the majority of people believing that Rhinos are plentiful and famed like cattle".
