The Rock likes to Roll..... Ray Fox to run for Liberals Posted by Collin Stockwell on Friday, 16 January 2015 A North Battleford city councillor has decided to take his political career to the next level. Ray Fox is expected to be officially named the Liberal Party candidate for the Battlefords-Lloydminster constituency at a nominating meeting on Saturday in Cut Knife. Fox says one of the challenges for his campaign will be getting First Nations excited about voting in the upcoming Federal election. For one reason or another the aboriginal population doesnt have either a lot of confidence or theyre just not interested, Im not sure what the difficulty is, says Fox. Being an aboriginal person myself, being of first nations descent, I cant understand why a person wouldnt want to make a difference in their community, in their country, in their province and so on. Fox says he plans on having an open door policy, so he can carry the messages and needs of the community to Ottawa.
