The Rotary Club of Port St Johns holds a monthly Jumble Sale in the village of Mthumbane. The ethos is to gather donations and then sell them a affordable prices to the local community. Its a system of distributing useful household items and clothing to those in need, whilst also raising a bit of funds for the Mthumbane Pre-school. All proceeds from our Jumble Sales go towards the development of the pre-school. We are currently refurbishing their second classroom, whilst re-doing the entire roof. We are also planning to install a septic tank and flushing toilets to replace their current drop toilet system. All these efforts will improve the educational experience for the 80 children that attend the school.
