Yesterday we introduced three speakers allready, time to introduce the other three speakers and to let you know you that only tonight, it is possible to sign up for the symposium Against the Grain tonight. Course director for the MA Creative Practice for Narrative Environments at Central Saint Martins in London, PATRICIA AUSTIN. Who uses narrative theory to unite different disciplines, designers, curators, writers and architects, in the development of spatial environments. She addresses how stories can be folded into physical space in order to create memorable human experiences and produce places that have distinct identities. London based architecture studio NAJA |+|AMP|+| DEOSTOS, who explore symbiotic relations between emerging cultural patterns and architectural narratives. They currently teach an AA London undergraduate studio and a Bartlett graduate unit and have published their work in several books including Pamphlet architecture 29 -Ambiguous spaces. Art historian and assistant professor JACOB VOORTHUIS of the TU Eindhoven combines philosophy with architectural theory in his lectures (art & architecture, philosophy and architecture) and the design studios he teaches. He is one of the favourite lecturers of the TU/e master program, where many students visit his lectures series more than once. __________________________________________________ Gisteren introduceerden we al drie sprekers, tijd om de andere drie sprekers te introduceren en om je te laten weten dat aanmelding voor het symposium Against the Grain alleen vanavond nog mogelijk is Decaan van de MA Creative Practice for Narrative Environments aan het Central Saint Martins in London, PATRICIA AUSTIN. Patricia gebruikt narratieve theorie om verschillende disciplines, ontwerpers, curatoren, schrijvers en architecten in de ontwikkeling van ruimtelijke omgevingen te verenigen. Ze richt zich op de manier hoe verhalen omgevormd kunnen worden naar fysieke ruimte, om zo memorabele ervaringen en plekken te creëren die onderscheidende eigenschappen hebben. Het in London gehuisveste bureau NAJA |+|AMP|+| DEOSTOS, welke de symbiotische relaties tussen opkomende culturele patronen en architectonische narratieve onderzoeken. Ze doceren momenteel een bachelor studio aan de AA London en een afstudeer unit aan de Bartlett. Hun werk is in verscheidene boeken publiceert, waaronder Pamphlet architecture 29 - Ambiguous spaces. Kunsthistoricus en als assistent professor verbonden aan de TU Eindhoven, JACOB VOORTHUIS combineert filosofie met architectuur theorie in zijn lezingen (kunst & architectuur, filosofie & architectuur) en ontwerp studio’s. Jacob is een van de favoriete spreker binnen het TU/e master programma, waar menig student zijn collegereeksen meer dan een keer volgt.
