The Rushmore Report: Obama Immigration Push: The Final Nail A Rushmore Report / Proud Americans Exclusive by Christopher G. Adamo Close on the heels of the Republican surrender on defunding Obamacare, the administration reverted to its push for amnesty for millions of illegal aliens in the country. Clearly, Obama and his leftist minions saw the latest Republican retreat as a window of opportunity. With Republican Party “moderates” back-pedaling and pointing fingers of blame at conservatives with a fervor they could never muster against the left, it was apparent that an amnesty effort could significantly increase the rift between those Republicans who uphold the principles of the party, and the RINOs who merely declare such things in front of voters at election time. As is the case with the massive fraud and deceit surrounding Obamacare, the government’s official position on amnesty is based on treachery and an attempted manipulation of the sentiments of the American people. It is noteworthy that when this administration wants to invoke statistical data in order to prove its point, accurate numbers are always immediately available. Yet if that information might potentially be a liability, as happened with the abysmally low numbers of sign-ups for Obamacare, it is suppressed and studiously hidden from the public. Americans are only now learning of the mere handful of individuals who have signed up for the “Affordable Care Act” since its kick-off last month. In like manner, the total number of illegal aliens now residing in America is quantifiable with a reasonable degree of accuracy. Yet the government refuses to deal forthrightly with the American people on this issue. Instead, we are told of “an estimated eleven million.” However, the obvious day-to-day activity on Main Street in virtually any town or city across America paints an entirely different picture. Certainly, more than one in thirty people is not a life long resident of the land of the free. And since no real effort has been made by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Protection offices of the Department of Homeland Security to stem the influx of illegals, the numbers will only increase. So the American people are constantly told that “something must be done,” which translates as another abdication of the Federal Government’s constitutional responsibility to maintain the integrity of the Homeland. Of course the standard justification of the open borders crowd is that “America’s immigration system is broken. Yet this is merely the same old deceit being taken to a new level. In truth, the immigration system is not broken, the nation’s Department of Justice is. For it is there that the official response to the massive unlawful inflow of foreigners has degenerated from indifference and passivity to overt hostility against any America who would see their nation preserved and its laws upheld. Obama Attorney General Eric Holder, who cannot find anything objectionable in episodes of flagrant voter intimidation, has nevertheless been quick to take decisive action against Arizona, Texas, and South Carolina, when those states sought to uphold the law. Clearly Holder is front man in the effort to subvert and ultimately eradicate such laws, and thus set the stage for Obama’s far-left “new order.” Sadly, though the push for open borders remains a dream of the liberal Democrats, and is rightly opposed by real conservatives, its advocacy crosses party lines, particularly inside the Beltway. Many staunch advocates of amnesty are well-known “Republicans,” such as John McCain of Arizona and Lindsay Graham of South Carolina. Their reasons for holding such views vary from a belief that it is somehow unjust for Americans to enjoy and maintain the prosperity which they have created, to the absurdly misbegotten notion that allowing the Tsunami of illegals into the country will miraculously result in an economic windfall for all Americans, or the election of a greater number of Republican politicians. The Democrats on the other hand, had no illusions whatsoever about the real repercussions of amnesty. Their voter base would immediately increase by several million, and any remnants of traditional America would then be swept into the dustbin of history, along with the GOP. And as to those pathetic Republican advocates of a broadened political outreach, the inevitable day of reckoning would occur when it is far too late for them to have any political leverage with which to fix things. Despite having collaborated with the Democrats in making amnesty a reality, they would find themselves swept from office by the drastically shifted demographics, right alongside those who had sought to preserve the integrity of the American nation. Democrat efforts to institute amnesty are fully consistent with their advancement of the entitlement state, and the resultant descent of this nation to third world status. Hence, those who seek such an abhorrent transformation of the nation will remain entirely at home within the Democrat Party. Republicans, on the other hand, will at best only be perceived as attempting to jump on the bandwagon, which will have a twofold impact on the party, and all of it negative. Nobody coming to America illegally with the intent of bilking the welfare entitlement system for every last penny, has any desire to become a part of the GOP. And while it might seem nice to hope that such people would want something better for their descendents, the sad truth is that the welfare state is not conducive to the nurturing of such aspirations. A new and expanded generation of welfare recipients only ensures an ever greater number of such individuals in future generations. Meanwhile, the traditional voting base of the Republican Party, which does revere and uphold the nation’s founding principles, rightly recognizes any Republican support for amnesty as a wholesale betrayal of every value the party has claimed to represent. Ultimately the passage of amnesty, under the bogus premise of “immigration reform,” will thoroughly disenfranchise Republican voters in the next election. So despite the fleeting promises of campaign cash from open borders advocates to Republican turncoats, if they take the amnesty bait, they will face an enormous voter backlash, come November 2014. In this manner, the ominous tide of anti-Americanism within the Congress has been turned back on several occasions in the past, and can be once again. The voice of the American people is sufficient to drown out those enticements from inside the Beltway. In the next few weeks, the effort will be made to steamroller amnesty through the Congress and pass it into law before the people can organize and confront the “Ruling Class” in Washington. If Americans are to thwart the effort to undermine the very foundations of their nation, they must recognize the crucial importance of making themselves clearly heard on this issue. Christopher G.
