In today’s Sunday Service we examine the realities behind “the power behind the throne.” For thousands of years, men have become famous world leaders, kings and rulers … their stories written in history books for us to marvel at today. Most of those men, from Julius Caesar to Napoleon to Einstein to Bill Clinton to Barack Obama, had wives or partners who were consistently delivering to them over a period of many years the unfathomable power of female Shakti. Some of the names of the women we know … many are lost to history. Could these men have become what they were without receiving this power and energy? Are you yourself providing Shakti to a man to help him succeed? Are you diverting Shakti from your own life vision and its success to his? And is he worthy of this? It is not sacrilege—but only reasonable—to ask! Today, together we honor the power of Shakti down through history and into own lives as females in a modern patriarchy. INFORMATION: 949/651-0564 After Sunday Services Sunday, January 19, 2014 EVENT: TEMPLE “HOLY WATER” CHARGING—Charging the Water (part two) FOR: women and older girls TIME: 1:30—3:30 pm COST: none—a fun and free event! DESCRIPTION: Join Priestess Initiate Mata, and the other Priestess Initiates and Melissae, in charging The Temples Holy Water for use in ritual and for sale to the public for fundraising. The Temple has forty powers of holy water, and each has its own unique, powerful and beautiful female energetic vibration. How The Holy Water is Charged The holy water charging events occur seasonally. First the labels are applied to the blue apothecary bottles, then, when dry, the bottles are filled with holy water and charged by the women of the group. Led by a Priestess Initiate, the water is charged by praying over each batch of bottles ninety-nine times. The prayers take the form of singing, chanting and speaking. Each seasonal holy water charging event takes place in two parts. The first date is for crafty women .... the labels are applied with decoupage glue to the small bottles. The bottles dry and we return a few days later to fill the bottles with holy water, cap them, and then pray over each batch to charge them. They are then placed in Reception for sale to women to use in their personal altar and spell work, and are also given as gifts to special Guest Speakers on Sunday Services. Where Does The Water Come From? The water we use to fill the bottles contains holy water from sacred wells of The Goddess from all over the world, including Medjugorge, Chalice Well, Luxor, Varanasi, Bath, Lhasa, and more. Countless stories of healing and miracles come from using the sacred water at these ancient Goddess wells. The water comes to us by way of Presiding Priestess Ava, who has brought most of these waters back to the U.S. from her travels, and also from other women traveling and gifting us with a bottle of the water from a well they visited. If you visit a holy well of The Goddess anywhere in the world, please consider gifting The Temple with a bottle. We will incorporate it into our blend of waters, where it will remain forever, and it will continue to serve as a great benefit to our spiritual community. Who Can Attend Any woman of any age, Temple member or not, can join in the sacred event of holy water charging. The application of the labels at the first of the two-part event is easy and can be learned very quickly. The atmosphere is fun, with lots of women working around a big table together in joy and mirth. Little girls are fine at this event and will enjoy it. The second of the two-part event, the charging of the holy water, is more focused and intense; you will leave feeling spiritually charged yourself after the intense singing, chanting and praying. The second part is more appropriate for older girls and women who can focus, and less so for very little girls. How to Attend No RSVP or payment required. Simply arrive on time. There is no commitment to attend both of the seasonal events. Attend one, or attend a couple, or attend all. Your choice.
