The Salvation of Humpty Dumpty Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall- Humpty Dumpty had a great fall, He looked all around, to find a good friend- But couldn’t see anyone and expected his end, He looked up towards heaven and saw the form of a man- Coming straight towards him with his fashioning hands, He asked, “Can you help me? Don’t leave me like this”- In the midst of his anguish, with his tightly clinched fists, The man just smiled when Humpty asked him his name- The man said he’s helped many, who were sick, blind, and lame, As Humpty looked in the man’s his eyes he made him to stand- And told Humpty there’s none, like him in the land, As Humpty touched his garment he was immediately made whole- He felt immense peace and no longer sick in soul, The man gave Humpty strength, hope, courage, and joy- When the Lord does a work, My God! Oh Boy! The man said don’t return to the wall from which you fell- And go back into your sin and go straightway to hell, He said, “Humpty you’re ready to run a good race- Just walk with me daily and stay in my face- Remember in me there’s a greater place”, As he walked away, the people ran out- And asked, “Was that Jesus?” with a very loud shout, They asked, “Humpty, Who healed you, where, what, and how?” Humpty simply said, “How you like me now!”
