The San Antonio Professional Firefighters Association joined together with other local groups in a community block walk Saturday to obtain signatures for a referendum on the citys streetcar project. According to a statement released by the SAPFFA, a total of 239 participants walked San Antonio City Council District 9 in an effort to, Highlight the citizens right to vote on the streetcar project. The group recorded a total of 4,818 signatures in order to place a referendum on the November ballot for a streetcar vote. One of the goals of SAPFFAs effort on Saturday was to engage the community on wasteful city spending, according to a statement. The SAPFFA said it has plans to continue its mission to engage the public. #KSATnews #KSATnews
