The Sea World Research & Rescue team has today released - TopicsExpress

The Sea World Research & Rescue team has today released ‘Ventura’ the Green Turtle back to the ocean at Fingal Beach after months of rehabilitation at Sea World. After being found floating on the tide-line at Ballina, Ventura spent three months at the Ballina Branch of Australian Seabird Rescue, before being transferred to the larger facilities at Sea World. Once arriving at Sea World, ‘Ventura’ was under the care and supervision of the expert Sea World veterinary team and animal carers with rehabilitation including feeding, veterinary checks, treatments and data collection. Sea World veterinarian, David Blyde said this is a great result for all involved especially considering the poor condition Ventura was in when he arrived at Sea World.
