The Secret Keys Of The Book Of The Law Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. This essay proves the existence of supernatural intelligence in our universe. It is based on a series of interconnected solutions to a qabalistic puzzle found in chapter I verse 76 of The Book Of The Law. Within the puzzle there are series of “minor keys”; upon being solved, these keys lead to and verify what the “Key of it all” is, as described in chapter III verse 47. These Keys are the secret to what will be known as Thelemic Science, and define the formula for Thelemic Magick. All of my conclusions regarding the keys can be verified with a copy of 777 And Other Qabalistic Writings Of Aleister Crowley and The Book Of Thoth. Part I: The Mystery Of The Glad Word Chapter II verse 76 of The Book Of The Law: 76. 4 3 6 8 A B K 2 4 A L G M O R 3 Y X 24 89 R P S T O V A L. What meaneth this, o prophet? Thou knowest not; nor shalt thou know ever. There cometh one to follow thee: he shall expound on it. But remember, o chosen one, to be me; to follow the love of Nu in the star-lit heaven; to look forth upon men, to tell them this glad word. On August 9, 1999, I constructed a sentence in English derived from the puzzle in II-76. The method used separates the groups of characters into numbers or letters and calculates a series numbers based on the quantity in each group: 4368 ABK 24 ALGMOR 3 YX 24 89 RPSTOVAL 4 3 2 6 1 2 2 2 8 When the digits are ganged together to form a composite number, the result is: 432612228. The most obvious number within the composite that stands out is 222. By isolating 222 as a group, the number 8 is automatically isolated. 432 is a symmetrical grouping of numbers based on descending digits, which qualifies it as a group. This leaves 61 as the last group. The final result is a four-number cipher: 432 61 222 8 By exchanging each of the numbers for a word or phrase listed in Sepher Sephiroth, I was able to construct this sentence: “Eventide Shadows, unto Thee I will chase Love!” Eventide Shadows = 432 unto Thee = 61 I will chase = 222 Love = 8 In II-76, Hadit issues a charge to the chosen one; to be Hadit and follow the love of Nu in the star-lit heavens. The translated sentence is a response to the charge in the form of an adoration to Nu. I have capitalized certain letters to denote respect. “Eventide” is another word for “evening”. The evening shadows are a result of the star-lit heavens, and are a symbol of Nu. The adoration meets all of the crtiteria set forth by Nu in regard to love. She requires that all love be unto Her. “Love” is the glad word promised in the verse, the last word in the translated sentence. This is demonstrated in the mathematical analysis of the gematria values of the words. 432 = 12 x 12 x 3. 12 x 12 = 144, or the 12 constellations of the zodiac squared, representing the expanse of stars in the cosmos. 3 is the number of Binah, the Great Mother. 144 x 3 = 432 = the cosmos personified as the Mother, i.e. Nuit. In his commentaries on The Book Of The Law, Crowley writes of a mathematical equation: 0 = 2. The theory is, when two complete opposites are combined, the result is dissolution into nothing. According to him, 0 = 2 is another way of expressing the nature of Nuit. This principle can be demonstrated by adding a positive and negative number together: -1 + 1 = 0. The equation can be apllied to the number 222, making it the grand scale of zero. 000 = 222. 46. Nothing is a secret key of this law. Sixty-one the Jews call it; I call it eight, eighty, four hundred & eighteen. This verse provides a specific numeric reference for each of the solutions to the puzzle. The appearance of the numbers 61 and 8 as values for some of the words in the sentence proves the validity of the solution. 8 is the number of Mercury, the messenger, the logos, the word. This establishes the glad word as “Love”. Part II: The Four Fold Puzzle (8/14/99) 4368 ABK 24 ALGMOR 3 YX 24 89 RPSTOVAL 4 3 2 6 1 2 2 2 8 Looking at the groups from a different perspective, there is a method for isolating more groups from within the original groups. The first series of numbers, 4368, can be used as an index to reduce the puzzle down to letters only: 4368 ABK ALGMOR RPSTOVAL 4 3 6 8 The result is a total of seventeen letters. Since some of the letters appear more than once in the puzzle, it opens an avenue for reducing the total number of letters into two groups: B G K M P S T V O R A L (group one) (group two) Group one has letters that only appear once in the puzzle. Since there are no vowels in this group, deriving an English word from it is impossible. Adding together the Hebrew values for the letters yields a promising number: 2+3+20+40+80+60+9+6 = 220, a number of The Book Of The Law, the total number of verses. 49. I am in a secret fourfold word, the blasphemy against all gods of men. 50. Curse them! Curse them! Curse them! The second group of letters has two vowels, and spells the word ORAL; it is the four fold word mentioned in verse 49. The verse is meant to be taken literally and figuritively: 1. The name RA is imbedded in the word ORAL, literally. O-RA-L. 2. Since the word ORAL consists of four letters, it is ipso facto a four fold word. Based on the two points listed, verse 49 is explained. To understand the potential of the word ORAL, one should study what Crowley has written about the words RA and AL. ORAL is linked to the idea of “cursing”, but it is also a reference to the mouth. By the qabala, a mouth is synonymous with Mars, and the tarot key The Tower. They are all symbols of war, and symbols of Ra-Hoor-Khuit. The Hebrew letter assigned to The Tower is Peh, which has a gematria value of 80. This value verifies that ORAL is the fourfold word based on the verifying numbers mentioned in chapter I-46. When analysed using Hebrew gematria, ORAL = 70+200+1+30 = 301. ASH = 1+300 = 301 = destruction of the old Aeon by fire. The four fold word ORAL will be shown as being directly linked to the “Key of it all.” Since “nothing” is a key to the law, I should be able to use “nothing” to reveal an aspect of the law. To do this, I re-examined the puzzle; not with the intention of seeing what symbols were there, but with the hope of finding symbols that were not there. I was looking for all of the Hebrew gematria values, as either letters or numbers. As suspected, some were missing. They are: 5 7 50 100 300 400 Adding the digits together produces an “invisible number”: 5+7+50+100+300+400 = 862. 444 + 418 = 862 444 = PROPHET : 80+200+70+80+5+9 418 = ABRAHADABRA : 1+2+200+1+5+1+4+1+2+200+1 862 = PROPHET + ABRAHADABRA = The raising of the spell of Ra-Hoor-Khuit (I believe the method outlined above is a new form of gematria. I will call it “Inverse Gematria”, the calculation of missing letters). I have demonstrated the secret adoration to Nu hidden in the puzzle in the form of an English sentence, and that it contains the glad word “Love”. The numbers 61 and 8 are hidden within the sentence. I have shown that within the puzzle there is a secret four fold word, ORAL, which has four characters and symbolizes the nature of Ra-Hoor-Khuit in four different ways. The number 80 is hidden within the word. The puzzle in its entirety is four fold also. By employing “nothing” as a key to solving the puzzle, I have linked the numeral 418 to the puzzle and revealed that the key to “nothing” is the in the utterance of the word of power Abrahadabra by the prophet. Part III: The Final Key (8/18/99) Chapter III verse 47 of The Book Of The Law: 47. This book shall be translated into all tongues: but always with the original in the writing of the Beast; for in the chance shape of the letters and their position to one another: in these are mysteries that no Beast shall divine. Let him not seek to try: but one cometh after him, whence I say not, who shall discover the Key of it all. Then this line drawn is a key: then this circle squared in its failure is a key also. And Abrahadabra. It shall be his child & that strangely. Let him not seek after this; for thereby alone can he fall from it. The mention of Abrahadabra is a direct reference to my discovery of “Inverse Gematria”. If you will look at the facsimile of the original manuscript, you will see the line drawn across the page and a circular figure with two intersecting lines. The line intersects or touches a total of eleven squares on the graph. The circle figure is designed to draw attention to two locations on the line drawn; they are the two spots on the line where the four corners of four squares intersect with the line. The positions on the graph are: C3 D3 C4 D4 D5 E5 D6 E6 By extracting every single letter that appears within the eight squares, including partial letters, there are three distinct English sentence fragments and one complete sentence. The letters in the words, and the words in the sentences are in order, from left to right, top to bottom: noBeastseektotrybeIsaynotweKeyofitadrawnisa Without changing the order of the letters, but separating the words, there are four groupings: 1. no Beast seek to try: 2. be I say not, 3. we Key of it 4. a drawn is a The first sentence mirrors the statement in the verse, that someone other than the Beast would would seek the Key. The second sentence is an instruction to be not or to dissolve oneself into the ecstasy of Nu; to be Hadit. The third sentence is a declaration. The Thelemic forces are the Key to the Universe. Also: “we” = 6+5 = 11 = the general number of magick. “it” = 10+9 = 19 = The Sun. Loosely translated, the sentence also means “Magick is the Key of the Sun”. Part IV: The Mystery Of The Letters (8/19/99) a drawn is a is the “key” to the mystery of the letters. It is a sentence that is unique to the English language, for it both begins and ends with the word a. It is a symbol of infinity; the alpha and the alpha; the beginning as the end, the end as the beginning. It seems to be a statement about drawing or writing the letter “a”. I have applied gematria to the phrase in two different ways: a drawn is a = 1+4+200+1+6+50+10+60+1 = 333 The result is 333 by standard Hebrew values. It is the number of chaos and confusion. It symbolizes the idea of Daath on the tree of life, which is the abyss of the mind. “The Crossing of The Abyss” is an initiatic rite in which all contradictions are transcended and the higher faculties of human conciousness revealed. There has also been literal confusion surrounding the use of the Hebrew system of gematria with English words. There are three big questions. Should I use the final caphs? Should I count the values of the words based on pronounciation? Should I count letters that are silent? By asking these questions and ultimately applying the techniques to the phrase, I am incorporating the root objective of the white school of magick; to turn chaos into order, to cross the abyss of confusion. (8/20/99) The final caphs are attributed to the letters K, M, N, P (PE, PH, F), TZ (TS). The final values are 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, respectively, and only apply when the letters appear at the end of a word. Calculating gematria values based on pronounciation involves two variations; letters that mimic the sounds of other letters, and letters that are silent. By applying the methods to the phrase “a drawn is a”, I can transform a symbol of chaos into a symbol that is purely Thelemic: a drawn is a = 1+4+200+1+6+700+10+7+1 = 930 = 93 x 10 = Thelema * ten sephira = Thelemic Qabala. The results of the math operation show that there is an underlying truth to words and numbers, and sets a precedant for a system of Thelemic Qabala. If “a drawn is a”, when is “a” not “a”? The answer is, when “a” is not “drawn”. Meaning, “oral” as opposed to “written”. This interpretation reveals the connection between the four fold word ORAL and the method of calculating values based on sound. By switching from visual recognition to aural, the process itself no longer incorporates the energy of the element of Fire, but the energy of element of Spirit instead. By applying the same oral rule to the sentence fragments derived from the handwritten manuscript, I was able to extract a hidden phrase that confirms the validity of the rule. There are three words which have mimicked sounds, and three words that have silent letters with no purpose: Key of Beast is to say Ke uv Beast iz tu sa By applying Thelemic Gematria to the phrase, the results are: 20+5+6+6+2+5+1+60+9+10+7+9+6+60+1 = 207 = AUR = Light. Key of Beast = 114 = Science is to say = 93 = Thelema Key of Beast is to say = Thelemic Science. In an effort to be thorough, I took into consideration that there were two squares left on the graph that intersected with the line and contained words. They are C2 and E7. Many of the words have final caphs as the last letter. By extracting any words with letters inside the squares that have final caphs, this sentence is produced: shape position its in The only way to “shape the position its in” is by assigining a specific function or value to the position of a letter in a word. This phrase describes the use of final caphs, and verifies the application of the rule of final caphs. Based on this evidence, I am adopting the term Thelemic Sciences as a description of qabalistic methods derived from the study of The Book Of The Law. These are the rules of Thelemic Gematria: 1. The values of words are to be calculated based on the sound of the word as opposed to its spelling. 2. Final caphs are to observed whenever possible; they are no longer optional. 3. Silent letters that dictate the sound of a word are to be calculated. This will separate our system from all of the others. Inverse Gematria is also a Thelemic-specific science. (8/23/98) As an added footnote on Thelemic Gematria, I actually discovered the first of the secret keys to II-76 eight years ago. I was convinced that the glad word was “Aye!”, the first word in the preceding verse. Without realizing it at the time, I was incorporating Thelemic Science on a subconscious level when I analysed the word. By appying the “oral rule” to Aye!, I derived the spelling IYE. Immediately, the reference to the Great Work as a union of the microcosm with the macrocosm becomes apparent: I + YE. When computed using Greek gematria values, the sum = 10+400+8 = 418. This is another confirmation that Abrahadabra is my child and strangely. Appropriately, there is one more hidden sentence in the graph. It is very strange and beautiful, much like the adoration to Nu that was discovered at the beginning. It is derived by extracting words that have letters within the eleven squares, but do not appear below the line drawn. The words are in exact order when listed from left to right, top to bottom: shape position to one no Beast shall seek to try: but whence I say not, who the Key of it all drawn is a key. The second half of the sentence is quite clear in indicating that whoever discovers the the key of it all drawn, will himself be a key. Why am I a key? I am the epitome of the Thelemic self-initiate. I have never met or known any other Thelemite. My path has been a solitary one. My certainty regarding Thelemic principles has been tested to the absolute limit. I am the first man to cross The Abyss on the Plane Of Numbers; the idea has never been conceived, let alone achieved, until revealed in The Book Of The Law and executed by myself. It is the highest of the High Magick. These are the Three Grades of Thelema: 1. man of Earth - Thelemites who believe The Book Of The Law to be The Truth. 2. Lover - Thelemites who embrace Thelemic Science and ascend to the Plane Of Numbers. 3. Hermit - Thelemites that cross The Abyss on the Plane Of Numbers and return with Holy Knowledge hidden within the pages of The Book Of The Law, to be added to the body of Thelemic Science.
