The Service Manager, Bill, at Carl Black GMC in Roswell called me - TopicsExpress

The Service Manager, Bill, at Carl Black GMC in Roswell called me because of a post I wrote on Twitter and because GMC Customer Service asked him to. My car was at my own mechanic, a garage I have trusted for over 15 years, and led me to believe that GM had told them to take care of my car. He asked if he could send a wrecker to get it and of course I said yes, because I thought this meant they would do the right thing and fix a wobbling crank shaft that was bent on a new engine they had replaced for me under warranty. Turns out not only did they expect me to pay the $480 repair cost, they also thought I would pay them the $73 wrecker bill, AND for an oil change, when my mechanic had just done an oil change the day before! I asked if Bill knew how much they were charging me, and the service rep, Doug, said Bill is the worlds worst communicator. My 2010 GMC Terrain has been leaking oil for over two years and GMC has never been able to figure out why until MY mechanic told them the crank shaft was defective. Even though GMC has replaced my engine because of the oil leaks, (and have also replaced my transmission - both things under warranty because they were bad to begin with). This car has been nothing but HORRIBLE. In addition to all that, it has so many chrome pieces that I have to cover because the sun reflecting off them gives me a migraine, it has no rear vents so the people in the back seat freeze in the winter and swelter in the summer, and it has four blind spots, AND no rear speakers, and no garage door opener. The one good thing about that car is that it has a USB port. Thats it. One good thing about the car. Thanks for listening. GMC
