The Sewer Equipment Co. of America is seeking to fill the role of Eastern Regional Sales Manager due to an internal promotion. This position is responsible for the sale of all products lines to the Municipal/Distributor Market of the Eastern Region (approx. 25 U.S. states and 5 Canadian provinces). The major objectives of the R.S.M. is training of distributorship sales personnel; working in conjunction with the owner/General Manager of each distributorship to generate sales, process business, and increase market share within the territory; and train distributorship personnel on available corporate support and corporate tools such as dealer website functions. Essential duties include the ability to perform a professional walk-around for each equipment model; operate the equipment; train operators on both the safety and operations of each unit; perform in-field startup training when necessary; contribute suggestions to engineering and production departments in order to improve equipment design; manage Demonstration Personnel and their schedule; support distributors and end users on service and warranty solutions; provide pricing and technical support to distributors; attend trade shows and assist with set-up and other trade activity; attend sales meetings; perform sales presentations; assist with any special projects at the request of management; assist with factory tours to prospects and customers; and submit all reports and documents per company policy. This position requires extensive travel. Requirements for this position: Minimum of 3 years sales experience, industry sales experience preferred, but not necessary; high school diploma (college degree preferred); valid driver’s license; comply with all requirements for federal driver’s license; mechanical ability; comply with vehicle insurance requirements; pre-employment drug screen; valid passport; Microsoft Office and Outlook computer skills and interpersonal skills.
