The Sony SRF-18 AM/FM Pocket Radio’s telescopic whip antenna - TopicsExpress

The Sony SRF-18 AM/FM Pocket Radio’s telescopic whip antenna will be automatically disconnected when any pair of headphones is connected to it. At this point, the headphone connecting cord will act as the Speaker Dock’s FM antenna. Be sure to keep the headphone cord as straight and extended as possible for best FM Band reception results during private listening sessions. The telescopic whip antenna will be reinstated as soon as the headphones are disconnected from the pocket radio’s 3.5mm Stereo Headphone Jack. In my experience, perfect FM reception will be maintained during private listening sessions as long as any pair of Sony MDR Series Stereo Headphones is connected to the Speaker Dock’s 3.5mm Stereo Headphone Jack. The integrated ferrite bar AM Band antenna is never disconnected when headphones are connected to the Sony SRF-18 AM/FM Speaker Dock Pocket Radio.
