The Southern Poverty Law Center has always claimed to be nothing more than a private “watch group” with no hard political affiliations or government ties. This rhetoric, of course, does not match their behavior, as they are consistently caught with their pants down, producing “extremist and terrorist profiling” documents for the Department of Homeland Security and fusion centers across the country, and even training classes for law enforcement. These documents include such embarrassing exposures as the MIAC Report and the Virginia Fusion Center Report, which lump Ron Paul supporters and Constitutional organizations in with racist hate groups. The SPLC has been and always will be a propaganda mouthpiece for government, regardless of whether or not the government is criminal or corrupt.
