The Spring Large Item Pick up is scheduled for June 15th, 2013. Items may include large household items such as appliances, furniture, mattress, box springs, and carpet. Any item that has material and or stuffing will need to be completely and securely wrapped in plastic. Carpet will need to be cut into 4 foot in lengths and no more than 2 foot in diameter, and will also need to be wrapped and tied. Refrigerators and freezers: Any that still contain Freon will need the Freon removed by a licensed contractor. At that time they will place a tag on the item allowing disposal at the landfill. For information on free Freon removal services provided by Butler County Recycling & Solid Waste District visit butlercountyrecycles.org. No construction items will be picked up except for carpet. Large items will only be picked up that day. Any bagged trash or items in cans will need to be set out for pick up on regular trash days. It is recommended that items be placed out this evening as the trucks will be out early tomorrow morning.
