The Staincliffe Good Friday Liturgy was stunning. I do not think that any parish church in England could have matched it, nor indeed several cathedrals. I want to thank everyone who made it so: Nicholas Whitaker, Tim Semken, Charles Beal, Kath Beal, Emily Beal, Dan Sladden, Ruth Sladden and their children, Nick Robinson, Michael Benn, Jill Benn, George Edmond, Philip Shergold, Victoria Woodall, Shaghan Bevan, Andrew Revans, Geoff Wright, Roz Cochrane, Rosemary Buck, Fr David Nicholson, Evan McWilliams, Keith Fairhurst, Peter James, Les Hamnett, and anyone else I have not remembered. Last, but not least, I want to thank Bishop Stephen for his wonderful sermon, and Rosslie for being wonderfully there for him.
