The Stalin story is more complicated, as is the Mao story, - TopicsExpress

The Stalin story is more complicated, as is the Mao story, because, especially in the case of Stalin, doing business with mass murderers is sometimes necessary; but the mostly tin-pot dictators the US has installed and/or propped up are a different story, bald-faced proxies for American interests. If FDR and Churchill did not ally themselves with Stalin, we would all be goose-stepping today; Russia defeated Germany in WWII at a cost of 27 million Russian deaths, 11 million of whom were civilians. The U.S. lost 250,000 soldiers in the European theater and came to the continent 4 years late.
