The Sting of The Scorpion vs The Bite of The Snake: If the enemy cannot bite you then He will send someone to sting you. The bite of a serpent and the sting of a scorpion may seem like it is all the same but that is not true. When the enemy comes in with his venomous words through people he comes to insert the venom into your faith in God. Have you ever been excited in God and told the wrong person and they tore your faith all to pieces? You just encountered a snake spirit. This spirit comes to attack and poison your faith and trust in God. The scorpion spirit comes to not only insert its venom but to leave its stinger in you as well as the poison from the sting. Have you ever had someone say something so hurtful or painful until it last for days or weeks and then you react in anger and hurt? Then unforgiveness toward this person begins to take its deadly toll? This is a spiritual symptom that you have just been stung. The bite of the serpent is an attack from the enemy from the outside. The venom is injected to poison you from the outside in but the sting is to poison you from the inside out to get you to walk in your anger and unforgiveness of others which cuts off your prayer and communication with God. The bite is to poison your faith but the sting is to cut off your communication with God... God cannot and will not hear our prayers with an unforgiving hurt for He cannot forgive us until we forgive others. So He does not hear your prayer. Know the difference and Luke 10:19 can prevail in your life. We must learn how to conquer the snake spirit and the scorpion spirit before we can have power over all power of the enemy. These are the first two spirits that we must conquer in the demonic world of satan. Jesus named them for this reason and He called them serpents and scorpions and then Christ stated we would have all power over the enemy.
