The Stone Bank Fire Department hosted the quarterly Western Waukesha RIT Training this past weekend. It was the first training of 2015, and topics included SCBA confidence, mask change overs, removing a firefighter from below grade, and removing a downed firefighter from a simulated building fire. The Stone Bank Fire Department, Oconomowoc Fire Department, Dousman Fire District, and Lake Country Fire and Rescue make up Western Waukesha RIT (WWR). WWR responds to all structure fires in most of Western Waukesha County and is responsible for rescuing firefighters in the event they where to become hurt, lost, or trapped inside a burning building. The Town Of Delafield Fire Department, Ashippun Fire Department, The Okauchee Fire Department, Wales Genesee Fire Department, where also in attendance, as they are starting to train with our team this year in hopes of joining WWR.
