The Stone & the Sword From time to time, God faces us off - TopicsExpress

The Stone & the Sword From time to time, God faces us off with a truth, either to strengthen us or change us, this moment for me is one of strengthening. I’m not here to win friends or influence people, I’m here to teach God’s truth and cut the head of the snake or to befall the giant, that’s lying to us. It’s odd that it goes on, but it does and no matter who is being attacked by people filled with demons, the actions pretty much remain the same. First the person who is doing the attacking starts trying to tell the person who speaks or pens a message from God, how poorly informed they are. Secondly, the person (filled with demons), begins to get louder, the strangest form of this is when they think if they put the cap lock on, it will help to influence the one speaking or writing. The whole time, the one with the cap locks on is under some strange deluded impression, they’re speaking truth, and we, the speaker or writer are thoroughly misguided. Now the speaker or writer begins to speak or write truth, regarding the attacker, mind you, what the speaker or writer is saying is God answering the attacker, more times than not, using the attackers words against them in order to show truth and establish the banner of God. The next step, the attacker starts getting really nasty in everything they say, while still screaming with their cap locks on, never seeing the fact, their actions are not Godly in any form. The next to last step the attacker does, is try to tell the speaker or writer how insanely stupid they are and how unwilling to receive truth, they’re being, still with their cap locks on. Finally, and this finally may happen several times, the attackers tells the speaker or writer, how they’re done with them and that the speaker or writer is going to hell for not receiving the attackers beliefs, and then the attacker blocks the speaker or writer. Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. It would appear that nothing has changed, except the date, darkness still does not and cannot perceive light as truth and life, even today. Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word is the very character and nature of God, a reflection as if in a mirror. Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. In the event you’re wondering about the change up in words, I chose the Hebrew version of verse one. I prefer this over the English because it shows that Christ, the Word of God, is the reflection of God, and if we emulate Christ, then we become the image and likeness of God, as it was in the beginning. Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. We are called to be more than what we choose in our foolish human nature, but that can’t happen unless and until, we become the image of Christ, having the mind of Christ and the love of God; Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Joh 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. We as human beings need to follow the examples of certain men of the Bible, who made a choice to go after God with every part of their being. David is just one example, but is the most befitting example for this message. Act 13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. David surrendered himself to God, giving God the room and permission to remove the flesh of David; Joh 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease. It’s odd how quick we forget this last verse, along with the following one; Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. God chose David as the example in this message, because David actually used both the Stone & the Sword. The small stone that David used is also the same stone the builders rejected; 1Sa 17:48 And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. 1Sa 17:49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth. 1Sa 17:50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David. 1Sa 17:51 Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled. that stone, is known as God’s truth; Mat 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lords doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Mar 12:10 And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: Luk 20:17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? Luk 20:18 Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and if He abides in us, the mind of Christ becomes our point of view, while the compassion and love of God becomes our heart. This is the very reason why those who choose to attack, always lose the battle. Truth in love will always prevail over man’s thinking and demoniac attacks. Just something to think about the next time someone is sent to attack the speaker or writer, God’s truth, in His love, will always prevail over anything else. It’s time we repented of living a half starved life, and start consuming the body of Christ, the bread of life, as if our eternal rest is totally based on it, Amen!!!
