The Story of How I Cut My Eyelid While Shaving. As we all know, as men age, the HR Department of the human body (Hair Relocation) holds meetings to decide who will be laid off and who will be relocated. Why this has to happen, no one really knows, but I think it must have something to do with the changing economy of body chemistry. So, the decision is made for some hair to retire and some to relocate to other departments. This would make sense if those other departments needed the help, but all to often, they are already well staffed. The main targets, are usually the ear, nose and eyebrow departments. The scalp keeps begging for more help, but to no avail. And that brings me to the eyelid incident. As Ive said many times, the main goal for aging men is to keep the relocated hair in check. The ears, the nose and especially the eyebrows. No one should allow those crazy Andy Rooney eyebrows to find a beachhead on the face. And keeping the other aforementioned problem areas under control often requires a number of specialized tools and machinery. One such tool would be a pair of adjustable electric clippers for the beard. Yes, Sue McFadden, a well trimmed beard is not always repulsive and can even be very stylish and even attractive. Over the years, as the eyebrow situation developed I discovered the same clippers could be very effective in keeping the eyebrow situation under control. But I also found out last week that being in a rush to get ready for work, and sharp clippers near the eyes, is not a good mixture. Hence, a nicked eyelid was the result. Only very minor bleeding, and no stitches required. So now you know, The Story of How I Cut My Eyelid While Shaving. Im sure this will be a favorite bedtime story for my grandchildren and great grandchildren for years to come.
