The Sunday before Christmas at St. Marks: For 14 years, Kay Russo, - TopicsExpress

The Sunday before Christmas at St. Marks: For 14 years, Kay Russo, who started the meal ministry along with Rev. Greg Dike in 2003, has given her special touch to ensure that the homeless/poor who are a part of our St. Marks family enjoy a memorable meal on the Sunday before Christmas and today, she did it once again! Meal prep was a team effort which included Andja Badry, Rickey Paul, Peter Goins, Liz Smith, Jeff Bellocq, Sir Master Chef Ronnie Seaton. The Spirit of Christmas was in the air bright and early today. Babies Isaac Hurst and Franklin Capone were visible reminders of the Christ child as we anticipate the celebration of Jesus coming into the world on Christmas Day. Brett Buck called us to worship singing a cappella The Lords Prayer, and led our worship today. Kenny Daniels was our guest pianist who blessed us with his arrangement of O Come All Ye Faithful for the Anthem. The Word of God was proclaimed as we remembered The Annunciation and pondered the question: How do we, like Mary, move from How can this be? to Let it be? What an amazing day in worship! O Come, O Come Emmanuel!
