The T-Dex (Dexaraptor?) chewed the phone end plug off my phone - TopicsExpress

The T-Dex (Dexaraptor?) chewed the phone end plug off my phone charger a couple of days ago. We have around 27 or so old phone chargers. They are intact, all functioning, none with the right sized plug. How can this be, you ask? Well, I believe its the product of a vast conspiracy to make sure no two of anythings electronic are ever compatible, interchangeable, or from the same planet. This guarantees that you always have a large number of completely useless cords, chargers, adapters, and paraphernalia filling up drawers and cabinets that might actually be put to some use otherwise. It also allows for opportunities, from time to time, to see if anything fits anything else. Its kind of a left over simian behavior, like social grooming with electronic gadgets. Anyway, I went to Walmart, wearing my anti-spandex-explosion proof armor, and a pasted on smile for the door greeter, and bought an Acme-universal-multi-plugged-one-size-fits all-Wiley Coyote phone charger. Why such a device didnt come with the phone in the first place, or why the phone folks have this compulsion to create new plug configurations is one of the great mysteries of life. ( Imagine some dimly lit lab, a frizzy headed master scientist and a hunch backed assistant bringing a new plug made from the parts of departed plugs to the world-Its Alive! Its Alive!) Im keeping my philisophers stone grade charger in my bathroom, in a drawer, high above the head of DexterThe Destroyer. Tomorrow, Ill see about getting my drivers license replaced. Took care of the credit card he chewed up already. Jim
