The Tampa Bay Juniors experienced mixed results over this past weekend, with the Empire team seeing their 12 game win streak snapped, in a 6-4 loss to the Florida Junior Blades. And the Elite hit the road for a pair of games, skating to a split at the Roswell Bulldogs. On Saturday in the Empire game, the Junior Blades outscored Tampa Bay 3-1 in the third and outshot them 21-2, to earn a 6-4 win. Benoit Chin scored twice for Tampa Bay, Steven Noyes had a goal and 2 assists, Jonathan Grodzki scored once and Sam Coleman made 42 saves. The Juniors were 0-for-5 on the power play and 5-of-5 on the penalty kill. Also on Saturday, the Elite team beat Roswell 2-0. Jack Stang and Lukas Freeland scored goals, Michael Krch made 34 saves. Tampa Bay was 0-for-6 on the power play and 6-of-6 on the penalty kill. On Sunday, led 3-1 after one, but let that advantage slip away in a 6-4 loss to the Bulldogs. Brandon Goudreau had a goal and 2 assists, Christopher Astrom and Jack Stang had a goal and an assist each and Trey Stern scored a goal. Tampa Bay got 17 saves from Jeff Gardner and went 0-for-2 on the power play and 2-of-4 on the penalty kill. Both teams have this coming weekend off. Next action for the Empire team is Saturday and Sunday, December 5th and 6th, at the Palm Beach Hawks. Saturdays game starts at 3:00pm EST and Sundays game gets underway at 9:00am EST. The Elite team will also be at Palm Beach that weekend, with Saturdays game starting at 6:00pm EST and Sundays game beginning at 12:00pm EST. All games will air on Fasthockey.
