The Teachings of His Majesty Hayle Sellasse I-The Reason I have no time to read the Bible. Im holding in my hands two of Our few collections of His Majesty Hayle Sellasse I Books. This green and thicker than the Bible is written in Amharic and is called Ye Atse Hayle Sellasse I Tarik meaning The History of Emperor Hayle Sellasse I which we bought it in Ethiopia and came back with it in 2006 yet we are not yet done reading it. The other one is called Selected Speeches of His Imperial Majesty Hayle Sellasse I:1918-1967 which we also bought it from Ethiopia,also thicker than the Bible and more current and relevant to the challenges of the Afrikans of the generation of His Majesty Hayle Sellasse I the Father of Afrikan Unity and Liberation. This is our guiding documents in every initiative we take to advance the struggle of the Rastafari and the Afrikans in General. Reading the Green Book,Ye Atse Hayle Sellasse I Tarik in Amharic and recalling what we were taught while a student in Ethiopia that there is no direct translation from Amharic and Geez to English.As much as there is no direct translation from Bantu languages to English. His Majesty Hayle Sellasse I spoken and written word were recorded in Amharic and recorded by the Ethiopian Ministry of Information,later translated into English. The Ethiopian Royal Protocol dictated that His Majesty Hayle Sellasse I speak in his Ethiopian Native Tongue or Mother Tongue when conducting His Imperial Duties. When you read you begin to learn that where is translated Religion in English is actually Ethiopic Haimanot which mean other six things either than religion and most definitely dont mean religion since Afrikan Languages dont have the word for Religion which in this context will mean Faith/Belief/Spirituality/Creed/Devoutness. We need to learn Amharic and study Hayle Sellasse I teachings in the original language they were written and spoken in to fulfill His Majestys Teachings.
