The Tennessee Commissioner of Safety, who also heads our Homeland Security efforts, recently congratulated the winner of an election in Azerbaijan that virtually every foreign policy expert acknowledges was rigged. He claims he doesnt know much about Azerbaijani politics but that the folks at Memphis in May wanted to reach out to possibly include them in the festivities. Apparently Gibbons also doesnt know much about Azerbaijani culture, since most Muslims are not particularly fond of pork barbeque and might find a festival revolving around pork barbeque to be somewhat offensive.
