The Teyongshi Sirijunga project is not a recreational project. It was conceived to establish an Institution as The Limboo Cultural Study center where the religious and cultural needs of the Limboo Society will be accomplished on the line as the Sheda School of Tibetan Buddhism, Sanskrit Pathsala of Hinduism, Christian Churches of Christianity so that the Phedangma priests of the Limboo society may be made available with for birth, marriage, death and other religious rituals in sufficient numbers. It was conceived by me first and adopted by the Limboo Society when I was President of SYSS. We the society had no means for this and hence we convinced the Honble CM to clubbed with his vision of dream project of erecting Sirijunga Teyongshis statue. He kindly agree our request and started the project with initiation of Honble MLA Sri Narendra Subba of that time. Every human society need religious priests. The adoptees of Modern religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam have institutionalized their religion and thus provide religious requirements of their adoptee societies. We the descendants of Kiratas are lagging behind to institutionalize their religions. If you see the history, every modern religion was promoted by the Ruler Kings. We had no such Kings in the Hindu-Kush Himalayan Region in the past. As a result we the Limboos, Khambu-Rais, Yakhas, Lepchas, Bodos, Mech, Koch etc. are slowly adopting other modern religions in the absence of religious priests for conduct of birth, marriage, death or other life rituals. As we being the elite people in the society, it is our duty to initiate to create logistic support for institutionalization of our vanishing religions/belief systems. The project in discussion is towards this line and the Limboo society must think and work with dedication on how we can establish this institution and run effectively so that it will be a lesion for of the Kirata Descendants of the Himalayas.
