The There And Back Again team have reached their main destination - New Zealand! They arrived half an hour ago at Kerikeri - NZKK and will continue through New Zealand for the next 10 days, visiting wineries, aircraft museums and of course...Lord of the Rings locations :-) They reached New Zealand after what may have been the riskiest two days of flying, across the Pacific to Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island. The video below shows just how dangerous the arrival at Norfolk island was. A loss of communications with the crew meant that G.A.S.E. was kept busy at all hours trying to get information to the pilots as well as making sure all the arrangements were in hand in New Zealand. We are now trying to facilitate a very special arrival for the team...but more on that later.
