The Thursday Praise or Concern is, “how we confront poor performance when it happens.” Am I consistent in providing both positive and negative feedback to my team so when poor performance happens, it is recognized as constructive criticism with a “positive intent”? Do my people understand that I want them to succeed as much as they do themselves? Is that the foundation to all discussions I have with them? Do I give them the freedom to fail?
