The Time Clint Eastwood Told Michael Moore What Hed Do to Him if He Ever Showed Up at His Door Lets just say he wont be inviting Michael Moore over for some cheeseburgers. Back in 2005, both Clint Eastwood and Michael Moore were being honored for their films at the National Board of Review dinner. Michael Moore was being honored for the anti-gun documentary Bowling for Columbine and Clint Eastwood was being honored for Million Dollar Baby. Moore’s movie included a scene with the late Charlton Heston, the then-president of the National Rifle Association. Heston was already showing signs of poor health and feebleness. When Clint Eastwood got up to make a speech after accepting his award, he directed some comments to Michael Moore. According to the Washington Examiner, Heston said: “Michael Moore and I actually have a lot in common – we both appreciate living in a country where there’s free expression,” he said. Eastwood then added: “But, Michael, if you ever show up at my front door with a camera – I’ll kill you.” The audience laughed and Eastwood grinned. “I mean it,” he added in an I’m-joking-but-maybe-not-really tone of voice, provoking more – albeit rather nervous -laughter. Fast forward to today, when Michael Moore has slammed Clint Eastwood’s latest movie, American Sniper. However, Moore hasn’t been told to “get off his lawn,” yet. ijreview/2015/01/236032-clint-eastwood-tells-michael-moore-go-ahead-make-day-ever-comes-camera/?utm_source=dailynewsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=%7BCAMPAIGN_ID%7D&listID=%7BlistID%7D
