The Trayvon situation is really, if anyone decides to be honest, is a time for two "Americas" to reflect and resolve two problems. It naturally will not happen because the heat and the tension is fanned on by the legacy of terrible inequality. And there are TWO problems, one which African Americans must own, and one which White America must own. And what is sad is it will continue to happen without any end in sight. There is a problem of racism in White America, and there is a problem of unhealed social development in the African American community. both come to the surface in this crisis.
