The Trenton African American Pride Festival (TAAPF) will kick off its third year with a youth sports expo at the historic Cadwalader Park from 11am until 3pm on Saturday, August 10th, 2013. ADMISSON IS FREE/DONATIONS ARE ENCOURAGED. The youth sports expo, one of several new additions to this year’s festival, will link the various youth sports organizations in the city for a day of fun and exercise, including: • The West End Little League will kick things off with a softball game. • The Trenton Football Club and the Pop Warner Football League will run exhibition games during the day. • The National Junior Tennis League and First Tee will offer golf lessons and exhibition games • Trenton’s Boxing Club will teach kids how to spar in the boxing ring. • A youth basketball exhibition game will be held in the afternoon coupled with the annual “From the Block to the Boardroom Basketball Game.” There will be vendors and food available for sale at the concession stand. The Trenton YMCA and the Boys and Girls Club will provide volunteers to assist with the event.
