The Turkish Community of San Antonio came together Sunday to help those affected by last weeks deadly mining accident in a small town in Turkey. At least 300 miners were killed by an underground explosion and fire. The Turkish American Association of San Antonio gathered at the University of the Incarnate Word to honor the memories of those who lost their lives. Well we are just collecting some money to help the people, the victims and the victims families in the incident. We are trying to collect money and send over the money to Turkey to help the families, said Hakan Basagaoglu. The group hopes to help as many families as they can with the money they raised. #KSATnews
