The U.S. Army Special Forces, commonly known as Green Berets, are the militarys premier unconventional warfare experts, with an unmatched legacy of working through and with other nations to accomplish U.S. foreign policy objectives. Each Soldier who dons the Green Beret, goes through a rigorous training program, which can take up to two years. The Soldiers are tried through physical and mental challenges that test not only their physical strength but also their character by a selection process that assesses them on the U.S. Army Special Forces core attributes, which are adaptability, perseverance, personal responsibility, team player, courage, capability, professionalism and integrity.
