The U.S. GDP last year was 15.684 Trillion, the World GDP was 71.707 Trillion. What I find interesting is that the total M0, the total amount of dollars of hard currency plus some is ONLY around 3 Trillion Dollars. So the rest of the dollars are not printed dollars but rather loans and derivatives and debt. Another way to think about this is that if the game were called, and everybody had to pay up those they owed, there is not even close enough money to settle, NOT EVEN CLOSE. The name of the game for those who have power is to arrange the pieces so that the investments like the retirement funds and the governments and nations and those individual not of the elites will loose their investments to make up for the bad loans/debt. That is the game. "......The Adjusted Monetary Base is the sum of currency (including coin) in circulation outside Federal Reserve Banks and the U.S. Treasury, plus deposits held by depository institutions at Federal Reserve Banks. These data are adjusted for the effects of changes in statutory reserve requirements on the quantity of base money held by depositories. ....." research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/series/BASE
