The U.S. has dropped hundreds of thousands of munitions on Iraq over the past 24 years...there is not a single shred of evidence that these bombs improved the situation in Iraq by any measure. So why are we doing it again? Under what authority has President Obama authorized these strikes? What is the long term goal of conducting these strikes—will the U.S. stop at civilian protection...? Just two weeks ago, the House approved H. Con Res. 105, calling on President Obama to seek explicit authorization before engaging in “sustained combat” in Iraq.
