The UK is in the grip of some of most severe ideological austerity measures in Northern Europe, as a conservative-led coalition government seeks to sell as much of the state infrastructure as possible before being booted out in the 2015 elections. In order to justify their policies, they have propagated a toxic culture of envy, greed and mistrust - pitting the working poor against the jobless, young against old, citizen against newcomer. What state will this ideological assault on the most fundamental values of the country have upon the next generation?
