The UK owes £890 Billion to the US Federal bank, Scotlands share of this debt is £4 Billion a year just in interest payments alone, direct to the US treasury, the 2008 crisis bailouts were funded by US treasury bonds, how is it that we now owe America so much money ? £4 Biilion a year would pay for a lot of things in Scotland, its a massive amount, and is probably the reason for Americas stance on our ref...what would £4 Billion a year get us ? 4 New Regional Hospitals...£1 Billion 20 New High Schools...£1 Billion New Motorways in the Highlands...£750 Million 5,000 Teachers, 1,000 Doctors and 3,000 Nurses...£1.25 Billion (4 year contracts + Training ) and thats just in one year....in the last 4 years Scotland has paid out £18 Billion in just interest payments to the US Federal Bank, the debt is growing at around 20% per year due to George Osbournes policy of taking the US loans, he has borrowed £300 Billion in the last 18 months alone
