The US Embassy in Suva should change their visa interview process and give more respect to the local applicants who wish to visit their families that make a contribution to the US economy. In the visa interview process, they charge a visa fee which they do not refund partially if the visa is not granted. Moreover, they do not have any respect for Fijians who wish to visit their children. The tone of the interview process should change and they should not ask personal questions or give remarks in front of the crowd waiting for the interview. The US Embassy in Suva should be mindful about privacy and build private interview rooms so that the rest of the crowd do not hear the interview. The US Embassy should also reimburse at lease fifty percent of the Visa fee if they do not grant the visa.
