We realize $50,000 is a whole lot of dough. In an effort to be as transparent as possible we’d like to answer a few questions we thought you might have: Q: If you achieve your goal of $50,000, what will you do with the money? A: We’re going to use the money to make two new records: a five song EP (which well release in October of this year, no matter what) AND a full-length album (which will release in the Spring/Early Summer of 2015). Included in the final $50,000 is a budget for releasing both the EP and Album on Vinyl, something many of our fans have clamored for. Q: $50,000 is a lot of money. Do you have a budget that fans and potential funders could take a look at to see where the money will go? A: Yes! We do! Please visit theshowponies/iggbudget for charts that detail our various expenses and how everything adds up. To receive a more detailed budget, you can request one from business@theshowponies. Q: In the event that you end up spending less that $50,000, what will you do with the rest of the money? A: We will not rest until every last dime of this $50,000 is spent making the best possible products for our listeners and contributors. We will not pocket any of this money for our personal use. Q: What happens if you raise less that your goal? A: We will honor all the current stretch goals we have unless we get to $50,000. Q: Will this affect current perks? A: Nothing will be taken away from current perk packages. The only changes to current perk packages will be additions (i.e. adding vinyl to a package).
