The #USATour2014-15 culminated with a successful educational seminar on Akal University Guru ki Kashi at the historic Sikh Temple Stockton on Sunday afternoon, 4 Jan 2015. The historic Gurdwara Sahib holds great historical significance for the Sikh Community. It is the first Gurdwara Sahib that was built to serve the Sikh Sangat living in the whole of United States of America (USA). The Gurdwara Sahib come into existence in 1912 with joint efforts of Sant Teja Singh, Baba Vasakha Singh and Baba Jawala Singh ji. Hundreds of Sadh Sangat filled up the Gurdwara Sahib hall to listen to the presentations and Baba Iqbal Singh jis bachan. They felt enlightened about the precarious state of affairs in Punjab and the dire need for Education to spread and hence act as a solution to the present set of problems. Baba Iqbal Singh ji exhorted the sangat to observe the progress of Jewish community despite they being smaller in number. He said Jews control the economy, media, banking and many other fields in America. They invested in Education after being trampled badly by Hitler. They have bounced back and control everything now. Unfortunately, Sikhs are still to wake up. Later, the management announced the Centennial book launch of the Gurdwara Sahib through the pious hands of Babaji. It was heartening to see the enthusiasm of the Sadh Sangat for sewa of Guru ki Kashi.
